Krista M. Schoening is a painter, who can most often be found in New Mexico or rural France. After a stint as a humanitarian aid worker and an attempt at becoming an anthropologist, she devoted herself to painting and drawing full time, under the tutelage of Anthony J. Ryder at the Ryder Studio School (Santa Fe, NM); as well as Michelle Tully and Timothy Stotz of Studio Escalier (Argenton-Chateau and Paris, France).
